Howards Lane car park is behind the Town Hall Building. It is free after 6pm.
Private Tuition
I also offer private, 1-1 tuition, 2-1 private lessons, are available.
These can be extremely beneficial if you are looking to advance your one or two-person skills.
Private lessons can be held at a location of your choosing (additional costs will apply).
What you can expect

Tai Chi has been practiced in some parts of China for hundreds of years.
There have been countless studies on the various health benefits that can be gained with regular practice of Tai Chi such as

As part of Wutan martial arts syllabus when teaching Tai Chi, we focus on the traditional styles of tai chi, beginning with Yang style tai chi which is possibly the most practiced tai chi form throughout the world and has been for centuries.
Once the student is confident with their study of Yang style Tai Chi, they will then continue to learn the other tradition styles of Tai Chi including, Sun style, Hao style, Wu style, and Chen style.
It Takes time patience and a lot of concentration accompanied with regular practice to become proficient at Tai Chi. With a calm mind through practice you will gain a lot of self-discipline at the same time as strengthening your core, increasing your level of balance and becoming more flexible.
People, especially older adults who practice Tai Chi on a regular basis, have been shown to have lower levels of depression and anxiety, simply because of their more relaxed state of mind and increasing their confidence levels from the practice of Tai Chi.
There are many different movements in Tai Chi that can greatly improve your flexibility. whilst practicing Tai Chi your muscles and joints should be relaxed to the point where all rigidity disappears.



Bagua Zhang, sometimes known as Pa Kua Chang, dates back pre 1800s, Bagua is a circular martial art practiced walking the circle with twisting movement when changing direction, Bagua uses very precise foot placement enabling you to evade your opponent and tip them off balance almost effortlessly.
The martial art of Bagua is skillful, accurate and designed to end a battle quickly. Bagua is a very varied martial art it contains strikes, sweeps, throws, chokes, and joint locks.
With regular practice of Bagua, because of its twisting and stretching characteristics, you will use muscles very seldom used, vastly increasing your flexibility enabling you to become very strong, balanced and stable on your feet.

Xing Yi or sometimes referred to as Hsing-I is a very direct and aggressive effective martial art, both in its attack and defense, largely due to its development around 1125AD by soldiers in Northern China in the Sung Dynasty, during the reign of Hero Marshal Yue Fei.
Because Xing Yi has descended from the battlefield it has been successfully used in warfare, and encompasses many different forms including the Chinese straight sword, broad sword, staff, spear and halberd have been devised.
Xing Yi is known for its unusual foot work, which is very different to most other martial arts, it has a very liner approach.
Xing Yi is a martial art that’s structure is based on the five elements of Chinese philosophy, as well as the 12 different animal styles of movement.

Qi Gong
Qi Gong pronounced (Chee gong) often spelt Chi Kung.
Qi gong is a powerful type of meditative exercise that has been practiced in China for thousands of years, there have been some ancient artifacts uncovered containing a manuscript showing illustrations of the same Qi gong movements practiced today that dates back over 10,000 years ago.
There are many different Qi gong exercises which are practiced using slow, gentle and precise body movements. All Qi gong movements are incorporated with controlled breathing techniques. These exercises with the breathing techniques are repeated a set number of times before moving on to the next Qi gong exercise.
Qi gong can be practiced as a single person or in a group, it is a very calming exercise which helps to relive all the stresses of our day to day lives. Through the practice of Qi gong, you will learn how to cultivate your vital life energy sometimes referred to as Chi.
The practice of Qi gong can help loosen muscles, lower heart rate, improve posture, increase balance, improves flexibility, and improves blood circulation.
